Global Video Telecom offers a contemporary business setting for video teleconferencing utilizing the most up to date technology. Our setting features the Polycom Viewstation FX conferencing center complete with Visual Concert POD connectivity module. Our conference center also features the Panasonic 42” Plasma screen for an outstanding display of any signal sent to it.
Video Conferencing Unit
We feature the Polycom Viewstation FX which has shown itself to be the most effective and feature oriented system available. We also feature add-on options to the Polycom Viewstation FX which include the PRI /T1 upgrade module which allows a connection directly to a full PRI for extraordinary ISDN connectivity. The Visual Concert POD which is a small connectivity device that extends onto the middle of the conference table. This allows users to easily connect their laptop computers, microphones and other presentation equipment directly to the Viewstation without having to connect directly to the Viewstation FX or leave their seats. Another major asset to our complete solution system is the Digital Video Scaler. This device converts the television size picture (4 by 5) of the Viewstation FX into a wide screen picture (16 by 9) that will fill the Panasonic 42” plasma screen with the appropriate aspect ratio without compromising picture quality or detail.
Connectivity
We currently employ the fastest available connection in the Paducah area, T1 lines. Therefore, we will be able to utilize the full features of the Polycom Veiwstation FX and connect to three other locations with a full ISDN connection to each location (for a total of 384 kbps) or by IP connection.
View Screen and Display Area
The Panasonic 42” TH42PWD5UY Plasma Screen with optional speaker system has been ranked in the top three choices for quality, functionality, clarity, color depth and overall performance. The plasma screen is only about 3 inches thick and is mounted directly to the wall for optimal performance and viewing angle. The optional speaker system mounts on either side of the plasma screen to complete the sophisticated look of the all-in-one multi-media system. A medium size credenza adds total functionality and a professional touch to the completed visual package. A small wall mounted shelf just above the plasma screen designed to hold the Viewstation FX completes the visual esthetics of the video conference setup
